My Grandmother’s Pouding Chômeur

vanilla extract

pinch of salt
Instructions
Whisk together all the syrup ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes. Pour into an 8x11 cake pan.
Whisk all the batter ingredients until light and fluffy, pour over the syrup. Bake for 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 375ºF.
